I have a very finely made aluminium/perspex window whirl-pool type waterblock and a bong cooler interchangeable with a Mini (car) radiator. Now the orices of pumps have gone way up right out of what I can afford. Is there any way I could set up a gravity pump cooler of sorts??

The big problem is most people who visit this site earn in US$ or British Pounds. In South Africa the exchage rates against those currencies is horrendous so what is cheap to you is actually way above my pocket ( Ave South African earns about R3000 p/month = at the moment about US$250 p/m) So can you see why I can't really afford much? :(

Ja Boet,
When I was living there a few years back I found a really cheap pump that I was using for Hydroponics at an agricultural/pump supply place in 'maritzburg. It was actually a submersable pond pump. I think I paid about R80 for it. Have a look in the garden shops for pumps for pools and that kind of stuff.

Out of curiosity Bergie.

Are your trying to cool your P233?

IF so its not worth it since all you need is a resonable heatsink and you should be cool.

They won't overclock more than 300 or around there and sometimes the retail Intel fan does the job as long as you apply some better thermal compound.

to do it without a pump you whould need to base it on hot water rising and cool water falling in a big circle which would probably be slow unless youhad excellent cooling.
Another alternative, unlock the secrect of perpetual motion/energy, If you did that you the most famous scientist in the world, lol.:D
Conclusion: Possible but not likely w/ idea #1
