I have the WinSMP Client running on my wife's machine and it seems to be running really slow. It's running WU 3064 and taking 35-50 mins per frame. Could it be because it's a PD805 @ 2.66GHz or is something wrong. My laptop can do the same WU in almost half the time it's only a 2.0GHz C2D.:confused:

That is about right....Core2's are substantially faster than Pentium D's

The relatively small L2 cache of the PD805 on a cache intensive WU (p306x) is a killer. Nothing is wrong.

I would but it only has a stock cooler, the case has crappy air flow, the PSU is a POS. I know all this because I built both her rig and my old rig at the same time. They were both PD805s, same case, I at least had a Zalman Cooler. I overclocked mine and blew the PSU at only 3.2GHz. After getting a new PSU I got it to 3.8 but the thing ran so hot I could cook on it. I mutilated the case so bad I had to buy a new one. So at the same time I got my current proc and mobo.
