About to reformat comp - Just wondering..

I have a bunch of stuff everywhere on like 3 different hard drives and im going to reformat and try to condense it on and only put a select few programs on my raptor. My question is, is there anything i need to do to the hard drive, like defrag it after i delete the partition or write 0's over the hard drive (which im not sure how to do) or anything like that? Or will the windows partitioner and format system suffice?

You'd only write 0's to the drive (and more than once) if you were going to sell the drives or give them to someone else and didn't want the data recovered from the drive in the future.
