Hey ther guys, I was wondering if these are a good overclocking set of memory?

Not a bad price for 8 gigs of OCZ, I plan to put these in 2 rigs (4 gigs in each). But, I wanna know if I can overclock these alot because I do not want the memory of the system to get in the way of any cpu oc for the new intel quad rig I plan to make really soon. I might actually just put all 8 gigs into the quad rig (Vista Ultimate x64), so I hope these will do well with a volt bump and some hard oc'ing.

Or, if you have an alternative to these, please post it here. Thank you in advance.

Seems a little high, you can order two 4gb sets of reaper for less than that at the egg.

Those look pretty nice, however, I need a standard profile or no bigger than the Corsair DHX style height though. My cpu heatsink kinda hangs over my memory abit. I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that in the first post. Thanks though.

Look here:

4GB(2x2GB sticks) kits (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010170147+1052315794&name=4GB+(2+x+2GB))

You'll want to not populate all 4 slots otherwise you're going to have problems ocing. I doubt very much if you're going to get any "hard overclocking" with 8Gb of ram.

Very nice ram indeed, too bad they are ddr3 in the link lol. I was reading here that the 1 gigs sticks oc with more stability and higher than 2 gig versions. Is this true, or should I just get the 2 gig flavors on corsair xms2 dhx?

lol, if you read carefully not all the ram there is DDR3 ;) If you plan on ocing, stick to the 2 sticks no matter if they're 1gig each stick or 2gig.

And yes, 4gb of ram will not oc as high as 2gb.
