anyone know of any way to hook up the ps1 to a computer monitor? i don't have a tv in my room at home (or space for one even if i did) but i do have my nice monitor...so is there anyway to hook the ps1 either to the monitor or through the computer? i don't want any suggestions on bleem because they are out of business last i checked and i'm not paying for an old one. so does anyone know any way? thanks!

Well, if you have a video card with video-in than you can do it or a tv-tuner, thats about the only way.
On the subject of bleem! ... There are other emulators out there that are perfectly legal and free.

Glad you pointed that out. A lot of people seem to think its all warez or illegal, but very many of them are actually legit and legal. :)

This is a good package here:
http://www.psxfanatics.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewsdownload&sid=12
Because it gives you a lot of documents to help and guide you through.
Here's a list of the other main emulators:

i agree with Spike Spiegel. emulation sites are always pop-up after pop-up. i have gotten an emulator b4, but what about ROMz? Zuck Gou, thanks for the good linkage to psxfanatics. do you know a good place (or 2) to get ROMz?

Yeah! I know of one of the best emulator rom sites out there, but it doesn't have roms for the PS1 or Nintendo 64 though. Let me know if you're interested.

Most PSX rom sites have closed down over the last few years.
The only way I could tell you to get em is by using Direct Connect ( http://www.neo-modus.com/ ) and finding a hub that mainly has roms. That's about the only way left to get em on the web.

Everything I've (and others) have presented is perfectly legal.
It's what YOU (not you spike, the reader as a whole) choose to do with it that could make it illegal. (i.e. acquiring backups of games you don't own)

Hey wait a minute! It works, just give it a few tries and it will load for you. The website is having some technical difficulties right now. http://www.pe2000.net
