View Full Version : Write benchmark for RAID-0

I am trying to check write speed's on box with a single WK6400AAKS versus 2 of them setup in RAID-0.

Downloaded HDtune and tried to run the write bench on the rig in my sig which consist of 2 250gig 410 Segates in straight RAID-0 with no partitions...300gig used out of 465.

Read the manual and it really does not tell me how to test write speeds...Can you test write's on RAID-0 ??? Here is a pic of what I am getting.

pretty sure you have to buy hdtune to get the write benchmark.

says to remove all partitions,. read the manual see what it says..

writes speeds wont be super fast like the read speeds are.

So what exactly are you saying ??? That HD Tune will not test writes for a RAID-0 array ???

I read the manual and went through the F&Q...Nothing about write testing that I could find.

There are no partions on the RAID-0 array unless they are in a round about way telling me that HD Tune will not test write speed on RAID-0 because they consider it RAID-0 a partition.

So could you please tell me..yes or no...Will HDTune test writes on a RAID-0 array ???

Thanks for the reply's...I have never tested writes on a RAID array...So this is unchartered territory for me.
