Hi!
I have a little problem with my "Asus p4b" card.?

What im trying to do:
Run my processor in the mode: 133 x 13 (1700 Mhz)
it only runs: 100 x 17 by default.

My System spec:
Asus p4b
Intel Pentium 4 - 1,7 Ghz (Socket 478, 400mhz system bus)
Kingston 512Mb - 133 Memmory

Problem Description:
If i set the option "CPU SPEED: MANUAL" in bios, only the "CPU FREQUENCY" gets enabled. The "CPU FREQUENCY MULTIPLE" stays Grey. (17x) I want to adjust it to (13x) to run my Processor in 133 x 13.

I have tried to do this manual by changing the Dip switches, but when i run 133 x 13 the system doesent start. If i use 125 mhz om the systembus the system boots fine.

Best Regards
Karl-johan

Hi kallegbg, welcome to the Forum,
plague is absolutly right, Intel Cpu's are multiplier locked and totally unlockable ;)

Also heres a tip because it is locked and if it was AMD and you were to unlock it you wouldn't decrease the multiplier.

The reason you unlock to change the multiplier is if you max out your FSB you can change your multiplier .5 or 1 up or whichever works best.
