So what ya think? An tell me which of these things are good or bad for my system?

And reggarding the Box.. Is PlexiGlas Expensive?
And is yhe system gonna get much earmer if i run the hardware in a plexinox???

All the goodies are very nice, and should work well for ya.

Plexiglass should cool just fine, it won't 'sink' much heat to the outside, but should still work very well.

Plexiglass of the correct thickness (6mm+) is rather expensive here, $6.00US for 35cm x 35cm (square foot). I don't have any money conversion links. However, it should still be about the same as a good quality case, and look very nice.

Here's a link of one that a member here made, just for some ideas.

Have a great time!

I've heard mixed reviews on this. Some say convincingly that you get more bang for your buck with a 1400XP. You'll have to check to see if your motherboard will support an XP also, my KT7A-raid doesn't (version 1.0:mad: ) so I'm stuck for now with my t-bird 1G@1.2G. (I'm broke too).

Best bet is to go with what your motherboard can handle. This offers at least a small amount of 'future proofing'.

They work - they just don't show PR ratings and hence Abit can't say that they work properly. :p

Thanks, ButcherUK. I'd only seen one in use, so I didn't know if was a typo or something.

TheMarMan, I think it's pretty much luck of the draw. There's alot of other things that go into a systems overclockability. Good ram is a must (crucial seams popular). Other components may not like higher front side bus speeds, harddrives included. Network cards can give people problems too. I can't seem to get more than 1200 off of my 1000 t-bird.(wish I had an AXIA like Butcher)

Basically, you can almost expect 10-20% (with good cooling) and hope/work for more. Sorry it's not the answer, but it's the only one I got.
By the way, some XP's are unlocked and some aren't, the same for t-birds. There's a video in the sticky notes at the top of the AMD processor forum here that shows how to unlock an XP.

Yeah mine did 1305 with air, can boot win at 1575 on water but it BSODs every hour or so. Sweet chip for the price, I had a 1.1G athlon before, could only hit 1232 on air :/
As for ram and stuff it depends, I'm running generic 133, does cas2 at 150 stable, no extra cooling. In fact most of my other components are pretty cheap, except the scsi setup :)
