Galleon is such a hard level-UT

i beat UT in Average and the next highest so i decided to see how i did on skilled difficulty level cept im stuck.....i suck at galleon, people always sneaking up behind me and stuff like that ill have an easy kill and someone else will kill me....personally i like Fractal Reactor because of the big open spaces wher ei am boss, jumping around and all that stuff....

Galleon sucks bigtime. It's a good looking map, but too confined to try and play.

I'm not sure what my favorite map would be. I download and play custom maps a lot, personally I am a ctf fan.

yeah, i love big open spaces, Galleon is too confined for me.....no room to jump around and maneuver....

Galleon is a good map for no more than 4 players. It's great for 1 on 1's. You know how to get the redeemer on Galleon, right?

nope, how do you get the redeemer , and the invisible is on the bow right? Bow? Stern? Well, it's on one of the ends! Even if I knew the terms, I don't know if that would be the front or back of the boat. You have to navigate one of two single boards to get to it.

Did you even know there was a redeemer on that level??? (many don't). I'll give you a hint--shoot at all the different light sources on the map. If you fly around before starting a game, you'll probably figure out which one to shoot.

It's on the crow's nest of the center mast. Shoot the lamp on the mast and a lift should come down. Found that out today :)

Guys we need to get a game going sometime, all this talk about UT is killing me :D . I feel like getting a ass whooping :D.

I have cable, but I can only host 1-2 people :( , I tried it before....sucks.

Hey! I found some Easter Eggs! Google is my friend. I'm going to have to try them out


Start the map dm-codex (codex of visdom) In one place of the map there is a square room with a pillar in the middle an one hall on each side. Go in to the hallway with a lift on the right side and a wall straight forward. Now stand at that wall. If you wait really really long a door will open. But you can make it a lot easier just typing in the «ghost» cheat to go through the wall. (you must type in «iamtheone» to get the cheats to work) In the room you will se something really funny!!

A picture of a guy (maybe one of the programmers) and the text «Pretty Fly...» under the picture. This reminds of the song from the band «Offspring» «Pretty fly....for a white guy»

Now shoot at the text... Requires: you need to cheat a little Easter Egg: The best level to do this on is DM-Morphes. Start up the level and to make it easier push Tab and type* 'killpawns'. That will get rid of all the bots. push Tab again and then type in 'ghost'. now fly towards the planet. It looks like earth. If you are going the right way you will see an orb out a little ways from the main level. It won't be connected in any way to the level. When you see if fly toward it. Go through the outer way and fly near the ground and push Tab and type'walk' you can walk and shoot your gun and it acts like a normal level. You can fly near the ceiling and look at the 2D galaxies and stars too. This is actually a two fold easter egg. this is the second part.

Switch your gun to the ASMD shock rifle and then puch Tab and type 'playersonly' then start shooting both fire types. you will notice that the blasts don't go away, the just stay there. this is what your trying to do. decorate it as much as you want. the type in 'ghost' and fly back to the level. if you look out at the sky you will see whatever design you did in the little «world» out in the big world! there are other little words in these levels as well. However, these don't do the mirrow trick like the one in Morphes. CFT-Niven, DM-Phobes, DM-Zeto and CTF-Face. i am still looking for others and i will update asap.

They are built on the same map as you actually run in UnrealEd. However, they are put together at a far distance from the actual level (so there are no parallax effects). Yes, you can ghost out and fly out to them and shoot around and mess things up. But this was not the result of some intentional code or 'secret' map put out there.

This guy makes some SWEET UT maps. One of them I know of has "easter eggs" in it, but not sure if the others do. The maps look and play great though.

i got cable too, but im too lazy to program my router :D.....hmmm lazy me...if you wanna play a game or two it may snow on monday meaning i have theday free (do the snowdance for me:p )

finally beat it, by 3 kills....was that a fun game, i didnt bother with the redeemer or invisibility though, the Anti-Grav boots are what saved me....

to get the codex egg to work shoot the four pillars and the door will open and it is CliffyB who you see in the picture he is white but thinks he is black. btw he is the lead level designer for UT.
