Weird problem with microphone, Audigy 4 pro.

Hey.
I've had problems with my mic for a very long time, but it hasn't been bothering me. I tried again today, and it actually worked. My friend said the quality was just fine. So I thought "Nice, is fixed :::::::: D"

This was over MSN voice chat. Then I suggested trying on ventrilo, and funnily enough the mic was now dead. All my friend could hear, was what I was listening to. I do have the latest drivers for the sound card aswell.

Any suggestions on what I could do to fix this? Really want it fixed before Age of Conan release. :<

Have you tried other mics through the same input? I'd bet that your opamps gave up on you, if that's the case, then it's done for good unless you have high end soldering skills.

Yeah, I would try getting another mic. to see if it's the problem. Otherwise it might be windows mic. settings perhaps.
