anybody got a good fix for any of the problems..
soyo dragon kt266
usb problems
crackling noise over speakers
that's the only two that i notice God only know what else isn't working right.

already tried that.. I have heard that it has something to do with pci latency.. Don't know how to fix it though..

Also make sure your sound card isn't sharing an IRQ....

tried to run it and it said installation failed.. any ideas?.

go to www.viahardware.com they have the patches for the sound, the PCI fix and the USB filter fix.

audio--> get via pci latency patch, and try not to share an irq with soundcard

USB--> get a pci usb controller card that doesn't use any via chips. Install it and your USB will magically WORK! VIA has no tech support for USB issues and their patches/fixes/new 4-in-1's are worthless crap when it comes to USB problems. By all means try these first and see if they work for you, but from my experience only a USB card will solve the problem, and it's better to spend $20 now than sit through hours of frustration with no success. Look through the the usb section of the forums at viaarena.com, and you'll see what I mean.
