Look behind us.
There is a new team making their way up the charts and they are not lightweights. Not sure what will come from it since it seems that most of the members migrated from Ars Technica and they just started this week, but they are starting strong and we will probably see more of them. Just thought it was worth noting.

Perhaps we might consider an alliance with another team? There is no shame in that. I think that we should consider such an alliance, but only with a good team. Does anyone have other affiilations?

That's something to consider. I thought about the possibility of creating a superteam once or twice before, but not under any existing team banner. Not sure how it would go over though and wouldn't want a lot of hard feelings over it. We are almost a superteam by ourselves and currently outproducing everyone but HardOCP at the moment.
As for friends of this forum the biggest ally would probably be AOA, but they are already an alliance and growing rapidly and I doubt that they would go for something like that.
Lot's of things to consider :)

I thought we had an alliance with Stanman? He is off helping a new team get going. I am sure he will be back soon. As for an alliance with another team. I do not think that it would work out too well. We are gaining more folders every day and we are really doing a good job. I hope that we will continue to grow and reach #1 again. Well Fold on team:beer:

I think we have a good thing going. I think the close competition is good for recruiting efforts. I guess I'm kinda funny about this stuff but at our level forming a group with another forum is almost like cheating. I would probably feel different if we were in 20th place and made an alliance with 25th place or something like that.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Could be interesting, but I'm afraid it would cause way too much trouble in the end! But it sure would be nice to see all the other teams in our mutual rear mirror! :)

Wouldn't want a replay of previous happenings. ;) Seems everything worked itself out in the end but it got a little hairy there for a short while. All is well :D

That would be really good. You guys just need a little more time but the way things are going over there it shouldn't be too long :D

I've got no probs with it as long as they fall under 32. I'm dedicated to that number. Fold On Team OC.com. :burn:

I think that a good partner would be a team that has solid production, but is back in the rankings. We have the #2 ranking to offer, and they have the extra production to offer...

Once again, does anyone have any strong affiations with the ather teams?

Otherwise, [H]ard OCP is going to use us as kittly litter soon...!

The difference in production between us and [H] is greater than most teams do in a day.
Do you suggest that the other team fold under our banner?
Should we have an Overclockers Consortium and use usernames such as Someonefromourteam(OCUS), someonefromuk(OCUK), someonefromau(OCAU)? Just curious about any idea you've had for accomplishing this, because it may not be an easy task. Not impossible, but not easy either.

I see the point and kind of like the idea, but would have no idea how to pull it off.
The benefit could be for us that we have a lot of power already and the added power could get us over the top, but changing banners means losing our place in line for a while. The benefit for other teams that have solid production would be that they could latch onto our existing production and it may aid their own recruiting efforts. It's hard to say. A lot of this has to do with loyalty to one site or another. MadOnion was considering it before and the idea had been shot down. I would go for it if we could pull it off and still have recognition for this team and site.

I actually think you can change the team name if you want to, without losing the current position and team number... Well, actually I should change that to "I can change the team name", lol.

Just let me know if you want it done.

I didn't realize that. Very interesting and something to keep in mind just in case :). Thanks Allan.
