I need a stable brand of PC2100 ram that i can run at 300mHz. Does anyone know of any. The usage will be on a MSI K7T266 Pro-2 RU mobo with an XP 1800+
Crucial 2100 will do 2x256 ddr 300mhz (150fsb) at 2.7v but your board might have a problem not memory related that prevent's it from doing over 140fsb.
I suggest you check with other owner's of this board and see if the "problem" has been fixed in a newer bios.
Please read this for a further explanation.

Just a suggestion, but why don't you just buy PC2400 or PC2700 that is meant to run at that high of a Bus Speed? I think It would make more since to buy the ram that is rated at where you want to be rather than buy ram that isn't and try and push it there.

well, the cost of 512Mb of PC2100 = about $110, 512Mb of PC2400 = about $165. im thinking bang for buck.

i got my 256mb pc2400 for 99.00
so ddr is just gonna get higher, so u might as well get the best you can get..
plus 512mb ddr sticks i dont think would oc well, cuz most of them are cas2.5.. i havent came across any cas 2 512mb ddr.. even at 2100... so either wait a few months, or just suffer and get whatever u can aford now.. IMO
