Glaciator I vs. Glaciator II - test results

I just changed the Glaciator I for the Glaciator II and wanted to post my unscientific real world tests. I am running an Athlon 1.2 @ 1.33 @ 1.79v, Iwill KK266MB. Both hsf's are unlapped, applied ASII. I have three 80mm x 25mm Mitsubishi case fans running 38cfms each. Two intake in front, one exhaust in rear. I have a Lian Li PC-12 case unmodded.

Glaciator I
Full Load 46C; Ambient 22C; MB temp 27C
Idle 41C; Ambient 22C; MB temp 26C

Glaciator II
Full Load 43C; Ambient 22C; MB temp 27C
Idle 38C; Ambient 22C; MB temp 26C

The Glaciator II did drop the temps faster than the Glaciator I. I guess all that brass retains heat longer on the Glaciator I.

cool, u get the exact same temps i get with my Glaciator II. when i get the antec 1040 case with a 400w psu im goin to 1.5Ghz.
do u like the glaciator? i love it. its mad quiet and my temps with a POS coolermaster hsf were like 54c under load, and it was louder!

I really like them both, they are very quiet. I had a coolermaster hsf also. I couldn't complain about the noise, but it didn't cool very well. The clip on the Glaciators is great. The coolermaster clip made me sweat everytime I took it off and put it back on. That was one scary clip.:eek: I'm going to attempt to mod my case next to see if I can get the temps down a little more.
