Hi Guys,
I was just wondering if it would be any good to overclock my nvidia geforce 7050 integrated graphics.

At the moment it is running at 500mhz
I have overclocking utilities in my bios however i am unsure how mcuh to step it up.

Could you guys help me?

Thanks

It is very likely that it's not the GPU, but the Ram that is holding you back...

You might try it, but make sure that the chip doesn't get too hot..

And my guess would be that you gain more by overclocking the ram and tweaking the latencies...

your card uses the systems ram, honestly, overclocking it, if you could, wont give you any stunning gains in performance

the 7050 onboard video sucks, your best bet it to add a video card to the system

There are some great gaming cards from about $100 on. 3850, 9600GT, 3870, 8800GT are some of the best performers for your dollar.

Ooooo, a bit about my system.
Ok, here it goes
Biostar GF7050-V Motherboard with a 3.00Ghz Pentium D 925
ermm 2GB DDR2 Ram, << i heard that ram timings would make a big improbement, but i dont know how...
Geforce 7050 integrated graphics
Nforce 610i chipset

thats basicly it.

If you plan on gaming, pick up a 3850 or 9600 GT good performance at a low price point, the difference compared to you integrated will be huge. Lowering memory timings does not make a big difference for FPS.

I have to agre that the 7050 onboard sucks big time!!
I recently bought a new pc (thinking it was a good idea) and I got everything I didn't want!
System to start was as follows:

Biostar GF7050-M2 motherboard (am2)
Amd Sempron 3000+ (useless)
1Gb DDR2 667Mhz PC5300 (dunno what brand)
Maxtor Diamond Max Sata HDD (80 GB)
Samsung Dvd +/- Rw
Standard onboard Gpu (geforce 7050 with nforce 630a)

I have done a bit of work (it's costing more than i would like) and now it's at this spec:

Biostar GF7050-M2 Motherboard (same am2 one)
Amd Athlon X2 4800+ dual core (Brisbane 2500Mhz)
2Gb DDR2 667Mhz PC5300 (still dunno what brand)
Maxtor Diamond Max Sata HDD (still 80Gb)
No Graphics card yet!!!

I have no idea with this mobo the online stuff at Biostar is helpful (not) and only lists a handfull of processors that work (mine aint on that list the model number aint right but it works). oh and i made a mistake when buyin the memory one is x8 chips other is x16 and it won't dual channel!!
Biostar say the max graphics for this board is a geforce 8800gt but i need to flash bios first to support it!
Help please I need to know more about this board like what is the actual chip size max for this board (i want to get an athlon x2 6400+) and wether i should just get rid and buy a better board??? also is there any way to dual channel that memory or should i just buy new?? Oh and what should my cpu o/c to at safest max speed?? (I am really new to all this so thanks for reading)
