I can tell from the image but I can't read Chinese although I've taken it for 10 years haha.

it very much said it's an engineering sample but the worry is that there is nothing to fit the heatsink if it's really the case I doubt the current heatsink can allow such sandwish

otherwise the image is fake

interesting is the chip at the center, the 3-pin plug for heat0sink fan(?) and the jumper (for setting Vcore?) but there is no voltage regulator transistor...??

Your right the image doesn't have socket ears to fit the heatsink in!

I've also seen the picture of that adaptor in a Jap. site and noticed that about the HSF....could it be possible that we will be holding it with our fingers?.....lol

I think PowerLeap will make their own so we might not be able to switch it!

the adaptor may come with a Tualatin and HSF pre-installed, hopefully not permanently

I have a feeling PowerLeap will add its own thing to do and will not be able to remove it or other heatsinks will not fit on the adapter.

otherwise they couldn't sell that piece of circuit board for too much...

Come on guys, you simply attach the HS to the same tabs as you always have! It will take some more enginuity though. They should have simply put them right on the adapter itself though. I guess you can't win them all eh? This is good enough for me though.

Well, I've got a couple of questions about this adapter. First of all, how much exactly is 60 euros in US dollars and when might this thing be available here in the States? Second, how do you know if your motherboard will support the proper voltage if it's not on the list? I have a Soyo I-815ep chipset motherboard that's not on the list, but that I think should support the proper voltages. However I don't know how to check, since the only voltage settings it has are via jumper and are adjustable in percentage increments. Basically, it reads the default voltage from the CPU, I assume, and adjusts it by whatever percentage I tell it to, however I have no way of seeing what voltages it can or cannot produce. To be honest, I know it can support any of the Celeron voltages from 1.65 up to 1.75, so maybe having the additional voltage available would help in overclocking. Not sure about any of that, though, because I'm thinking that all this thing does is re-route the pin differences from the P3/Celeron2 to the Tualatin scheme. It doesn't sound as if it does anything else, especially concerning voltages. Any thoughts?

Would this still work on a vid modded motherboard? I did the vid mod and instead of connecting the pins on the cpus, I soldered the back of the motherboard to connect the pins. Would I have to desolder this?

download the PDF file, it said that your MB needs to have that 1.4something V to use the adaptor

That's like 4X orignal price that is sold in Taiwan....man, that's too much IMO.

still not yet available in the US or on-line store? some politics...?

powerleap made one of these to fit flipchips into old ppga boards.
The cpu fits in without a lever (HIF? or LIF?) tightly, and near permenantly. You have to bend the HSF clip to fit or get clip extenders.

That's a good quote ruiner. Risky Business right?

Not permanently...

I was using a similar one to run MMX Pentium on non-MMX mainboard. I need to use 2 clamps to press on the opposing edges of the Pentium into the socket (each pin 100% inserted) and use screwdriver to ply out the CPU. It was real tight...but not that difficult...once I think of how to do it.
