Audio Pop or Crack

Hi:

I have the Audio Trak Prodigy HD2 sound card I just installed a couple of weeks ago.

I’ve noticed that I get a “pop or crack” from the Audio Engine 5 speakers once in a while.

Any ideas why?

Update the drivers? I used to get static/popping and sometimes crackling with my onboard sound. Once with a pci sound card. Updating the drivers solved that. Might work for you.

Yes I have the latest driver offered. It's over a year old however.

Have you tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them? Sometimes the older drivers will work better than the new ones. Crazy I know.

OK. Reinstalled the drivers. Will see what happens.
