I want to buy a dvd drive ( new ) but I don't know which drive is the best value for money... I want a 16x dvd with at least 40x cd-rom, also has to have ATA 66. Was looking at the AOpen dvd-1648, with 16x dvd, 48x cd-rom, udma 66, SPDIF output and has Power DVD software with it. All for $130 ( Australian ). Does it sound reasonable?? Suggestions ????

get the pioneer slot load 16x dvd-rom.
go on www.pricewatch.com and look for a international dealer with the best price. there under 80 oem.. and power dvd is like 3 bucks at some places.. or look for it online to dl.
