Im building my first budget computer. I have a idea what im doing but when it comes to ram and "Timings" i have no idea. I have made up my mind on everything else but because of my lack of knowledge on ram i need some help making up my mind. i would like 2gigs under $50 with passable over clock stability

Im getting all my stuff from newegg
Case: Sunbeam Quarterback Item #: N82E16811166035
Mobo: ASUS M2N-SLI Item #: N82E16813131246
2 Vid Cards Sli: ASUS GeForce 8500GT Item #: N82E16814121094
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 2.4GHz AM2 Item #: N82E16819103198
i already have everything else

and if possible can someone give me a dummy's guide to ram and timings?

I would go for either gskill or crucial ballistix. Ballistix will fail if you give them more voltage than stock though, but its worth it for the crazy clocks they put in.

i was reading the reviews about my mobo and some say that if the voltage on memory is higher then 1.8v it wont work right... any one know if thats true or if they dident set something right
