hs for shuttle ak31

will the alpha 8045 fit on shuttle's ak31 without any major problems? anyone using this combo? let me know your experience and temps please.........

It will not fit without some mods.

there are differing opinions on this. On another forum (I think it was Ars) several people said that they fit their PAL8045 with NO mods at all. I personally found that the capacitor near the DIMM slots was in the way and was touching the hs and possibly keeping it from seating properly. So I took a dremel and sanded away the side of the hs until it fit easily.

I was going to recommend what pHaestus did.

If you can get your hands on some tools for a start use a machine to sand down the part coming in contact if not file it down .
