Will this power supply be enough if I upgrade to one of the two following systems?

AMD 5000+
GA M57sli-s4
Artic freezer
8800gt
cd/dvd
2 hd's

Intel E7200
GA-ep35-ds3l
artic freezer
8800gt
cd/dvd
2 hd's

Not sure which system I will be going with and comments are welcome.

I wouldn't if it was my new system. You should be looking at a 450w+ Corsair or other quality brand. I've replaced far to many Antec's to ever trust one in my PC.

imo the only new antec to trust are the EA line. the 430 for a stock rig would do with some ocing look at the 500. other wise like trap said go the corsair route but i would suggest at least a 550vx unit.

It may not be the best but do you think it has enough power, I would rather not buy on right now.

The PSU recommendation for your 8800 GT is a minimum of 400 watts with 26+ amps on the 12v rail.

CP,

Personally, I wouldn't.

You want to spend money on a new system including a $200 video card and use a power supply that has known defective capacitors and is of very questionable power output anyhow. Doesn't make sense.

It's like taking a shower and putting your dirty underwear back on.

I stumbled on a deal from another website for the Thermaltake 500w pure power 2.0. It was on clearance from radio shack for $29.99 so I bought it. It seems like it's a good one with all the newer connectors for sata and pci-e and sleeved wiring. This should have enough power am I right?

cp,

More than enough. Good price, much safer, I think it's a Channel Well OEM, should be decent.
