Hi guys,

I went into my bios to play with the CPU Ratio. I tried all the settings ie. 6.5 , 7.0, 7.5 ect but my multiplier is still at 6.5 . :(

Is it locked at 6.5 or something?
My mobo is a VIA Apollo Pro 133A, its my second rig heeh

thanks for the help.
I use WCPUID to view the Clock speeds ect.

Well, all Intels have locked multipliers since the earlier P-II days anyway.

Yep, the only way to OC an Intel rig these days is to do an FSB overclock. I think some of the very early PII-233's were unlocked, but that's all. Everything from there on up is, and to the best of my knowledge there is no unlocking them. :(

How about engineering samples?

TC also had a unlocked P2 450 I believe.

Every once in awhile you can catch one on Ebay. I saw an engineering sample P3-933 on there once. Unfortunately, it also went for, like, $250. Yikes.

**EDIT** Hey Yodums, looks like you're gonna beat Reddeath to 3000 after all!

My motherboard allows me to change the cpu multiplyer in the bios as well. If only that could be done...
