I have an HD 3850 with windows XP sp2.
I can use Catalyst Control Center to overclock a little, but I know my card can go higher. (I tested it under XP-64, then reformatted because I needed regular XP for some apps).
Problem is, every time I try to set the clock even 1 mhz higher in any program like ATItool, RivaTuner, ATItray tools, etc. windows becomes unresponsive at first, then the screen goes black and the system reboots.
WTF is going on, I want to be free of the tyranny of Catalyst Control Center.

okay, so after re-installing some drivers, then switching to the omega drivers, atitool etc. seems to be working.
I'm not sure the problem is completely gone though. I'm hesitant to try switching drivers to test it though.
