Has anybody done this, and what kind of gains in FSB were
they able to get ? Will this improve stability and rid me
of Prime95 rounding errors ?

I just got a new motherboard that lets you overvolt the
dimm's by 3.4, 3.5 or 3.6

I am shooting for some insane fsb's up in the 160-170 range.

I read some where on the net that kingmax pc150 supports 166fsb

I remember reading the comments on the survey done by overclockers.com on the overclockability of multiple dimms. If I remember correctly, I think someone mentioned that Kingmax ram runs better at 3.3v.

Thanks,

I have switched to some OCZ ram in this machine now.
1 256mb. Still the same deal.

Can boot over 150-160, but somewhat unstable.

I think it might be a mb or chipset problem.
Same in both my Soyo TISU and Gigabyte Ga60Xet-C.

Think I will just put the other 256mb in and run at 148 CAS2.
Everything rock solid at that speed with either mb....

6502kid : Did u buy your OCZ ram recently? Are they the PC150 cas 2 ram? What chips do they use? I have some that has Micron chips and it doesn't seem to overclock as well as the earlier ones which has the Infineon chips. I can only reach 155fsb at cas 2. I am still in the hunt for ram that can hit 160 2-2-2.

Just got it a couple of weeks ago from component authority.

Sandra and CTSPD tell me it is wintec.
I cant see the chips since it came with those funky ram
cooler things attached already.

6502kid : Thanks.

I did e-mail Component Authority a few weeks ago to inquire abt the OCZ ram they have in stock. They told me they are 7ns Micron chips. Now the product description says the OCZ ram has 6.6ns chips. Hmmm maybe I shd order one for testing.
