sup
i've been looking at the OCZ Reaper 4gb 800mhz. they look good (heatsinks), but havne't read reviews on its overclocking ability
OCZ have other 4Gb kits like the Platinum and Reaper X, and G skill have a 1066mhz 4GB kit (which i don't know if it's good or not). and Corsair have a few.
another question: is the Reaper X 4GB worth 30 dollars AUD more than the Reaper 4GB? (diff heatsinks and better timings)
which company makes the best 4GB kit?

I have the reaperx ddr3 2gb kit
they are very good for oc and great coolers
downside they are so big you can only fit 2 and cannot use all 4 slots
also not cheap

well where i live (Australia, Melbourne) most expensive kit i can find is the Corsair 4Gb 1066mhz, which is around $260. the 4Gb OCZ Reaper is $159 which is about the price i'm lookign for. nothing over 200 :)

yeh, 2 slots is max i'll need, if they're 2x2Gb kit. i'll never need or want to get 8GB of mem, so i don't mind if the heatsinks are big. bigger the better :santa:
How about the Dominator series? I think they should be good?

You could get someone to buy you the 2x2GB 1000 kit from newegg for $85 USD, then you can pay shipping/fees.
Their RMA, sticks, and support are good. No hesitation to buy from them

deffently more cheaper to get someone to send you a kit via mail vs finding a etailer that will ship it to you for sure.
The G.Skill kit, forgot to mention the brand :bang head

i'm now tossing between the OCZ Reaper 1066mhz and the Reaper X 800mhx 4Gb kits. they're only 10 bucks apart. the Reaper will allow more flexibility in overclocking as it has a higher stock speed, but they Reaper X might be able to oc very well...so i dunno.
Corsair's 4Gb 1066 is too expensive and there are limited G-skill 4GB kits.

if not that I like the PQ version myself soon to be getting one of these 2

I got an A-DATA 2x2gb 800mhz kit from newegg for $63 shipped. It works great so far, although I haven't tried to oc yet so take it for what you will.
