Well if I remember correctly, Quietice is a member of The Planetary Society, which has a cool mini DVD attached to the new mars lander .. see link HERE (http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/phoenix/images/press/S_001RAD_PER_S_10D10_RRGBM1.html).
The link says there are the names of 250,000 individuals on the disk.. I would naturally assume (thereby making an ASS of U and ME ) that the members of the TPS are on that disk .. So following that logic, is Quietice now on Mars?
if so?
cool. :soda:

Dang, I've been found out! Who's the blabber-mouth?!?

*The name has been changed to protect the guilty! :D
Actually there are 5 of us (with my real name) on that list, so I'm not sure which Cert.# is truly mine, not that it matters much. I'd guess the first one is mine simply because of how long I've been with TPS. :)
But my small contribution is nothing compared to some of the stories and poems they've sent on the same disk. For more information check out: http://www.planetary.org/explore/topics/phoenix/

They'll probably be stumped by the region coding.

If somebody besides Man finds it they should be able to figure it out ... :)

More than likely they are waiting for a Best Buy so they can return their Toshiba HD players.

Ok I saved it and zoomed in on the name and it is *drumroll please*
Ardenia. I think. Makes better sense then the other interpretation, "Arcfenix"

Unfortunately it's NOT my name on the top.
But if you're trying to figure it out it's "Phoenix", the name of the lander. The script is kinda' odd and the "o" is the symbol for Mars (the circle and arrow) ...

Thanks for clearing that up QIce :) Cool readings too! They put some Isaac Asimov on the disc... wicked! :D and Carl Sagan.. muahaha..
Although the linguist in me is going to go and kick myself after I say this, but I hope English is still around when/if it ever gets found by a mars colony in X hundred years. Ahh.. what I would give to be around to see Mars get colonised and inter-stellar space travel become plausible. *dreams* Thats why -I- run SETI :)
We have color photos now.
Amazing!
