I am in the process of making final choices and ordering parts for my build and I've come to a dilemma now that the moment is here and I can't stand to keep waiting for the new nvidia stuff to launch. I plan to get the new ones if the benchmarks are good and justify the price ... SLI is a possibility depending on my funds. Right now though is where I'm looking with a slight reach into the future.
If you were me and you could afford to do like a 8800GTS right now (~$250) would you buy the 8800GTS and step-up to the new ones or buy cheaper and sell towards the new cards? I just don't want to drop a bunch of cash now when I plan to get the new ones but at the same time I don't want to not be able to play games because the temp card sucks.
My rig is looking like this:
Intel E8400/E3110 (got another thread on this dilemma)
Cooler Master Stacker 830 Evolution Black
EVGA 780i SLI A1 Motherboard
Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2-800 @ 4-4-4-12
Western Digital 640GB 7,200RPM
2x Samsung SATA DVD+/-RW with Lightscribe
Corsair 1000HX 1,000 Watt Modular PSU
Please help me out as I just need opinions from who I would consider professionals on this matter...
