I boot up and i go into the setup and change my bus from 100/100 to 133/133 (running a duron 900 on ECS K7S5A with sd pc133 ram ) and i save settings and exit to reboot and it dosnt boot i get no bios beeps or pictures on the screen, so the only way i can get it to boot again is to clear the cmos with the jumper. Any ideas why i cant go to 133

If your cpu is locked it might not want to run at the speed 133 is trying to make it run at.

Ahh makes sense. Ill leave it at 100 then just to be safe.

Check your manual to see if you have to set a jumper to enable the 133FSB, many boards require this.

Good Luck!

if your mobo does allow it, and you have unlocked your chip... lower your multiplier ( i.e 7*133 ) so as you can boot to 133MHz FSB.. and start experimenting from that point... booting at the default multiplier of 9 is maybe too much for your chip ( 9 x 133 )...
