I have a cpu only water loop with an mcp-655b pump and h20-220 rad on my Q6700. I am curious and want to see how high I can push my E2160 (2.8 ghz with stock cooling). Is it worth the hassle, and how high clocks should I expect?

You will never know until you do it. And the hardware forum (not cooling) is probably a great place to do a ''''' search ''''' with your chip. Try xtreme forums and even Google.
You won't be limited by temperature. A good air solution is as good as water for your chip since it's low end.
List your temps now with Orthos and Coretemp for a benchmark.

I p95'ed it the other day with coretemp, I got 75c max load, but thats with stock cooler. Im thinking about 4.2 stable.
