I have an HP ze4315 that I am rebuilding. The MB is fried.

It came with an AMD XP1800-M. It uses the same socket as my old 2100+. Could I put that in?

The MB part number is DAKT3DMB6A8 REV:A

I've started the search on google to find out for myself but no luck at this point.

Secondary question. Since I have to replace the MB, could I put another faster type one in.

Background:
I go this unit free. The power plug broke. They had some one solder it back it. Whom ever that was borked it. After a few uses, the thing sparked. I'm finding parts to be relatively cheap so it's looking like it may fill a need that I have. Answers to the above questions may make it better.

It looks like an ALI M1535+ south bridge.

Radeon™ IGP 320M north bridge/video.

edit: Hard to find real data. Here is one thing that I found outside of AMD

Radeon IGP 320M Mobile AMD (200/266MHz FSB)

edit:
I think that my AXDA2100DUT3C may work. Any one?

Socket A CPU
Socket A motherboard

Seems like it should work, I just don't know for sure. Wish I had some information for you.

what im wondering, is why my lappy's CPU is soldered to my socket and is irreplacable, while others are not?

It might not work due to the BIOS not recognizing it. The second problem comes from those Laptop chips being only 25watts the desktop ones are easily double that. It might boot but it won't be long till it over heats or kills the power circuits.

I had the Compaq cousin of that model laptop after 2 years it died it was pretty garbage the cooling for the rest of the machine besides the CPU was a joke. The power plug was terrible. The DVD-ROM is garbage. Everything just died overtime.

You might be able to find a XP-2500M or 2600M those are the best as the higher model numbers are higher wattage and might not be Barton cores.

I have a classified posting for a 2800Mobile barton core that should work.
