M/b & Agp Fsb

hello again i just got my Gigabyte socket 7 M/B in today and it has the fsb spec on the board so can this help yall to tell me a good video card to use. This system will be O/C and I need a AGP video card that can handle this much FSB from the agp slot. thanks have a good week end

Overclocking a computer isnt only raising the AGP bus but also the PCI bus which can limit you in many ways. It depends on the sound card you have, the video card you have, well..... everything you have, even the hard drive can dislike an overclock. I dont think theres 1 card that can handle an overclock better than another, maybe there is, i'd be suprise.

Since when does a Socket 7 board do 140fsb? Last i heard they toped out at 125 if you were lucky to get it there....:confused:

I've got my agp running at 89... From what I've heard, most nvidia cards handle high agp speeds. Especially if the card supports agp 4x. My mobo only does 2x so 2x89 is 178... well within agp 4x spec... agp 4x would be 266 at default of 66... so as long as you select agp 2x... you'll be fine for the vid card.

Thats not always true since some boards will allow you to overclock the PCI and frontside bus independently.
