Anyone get one of these whale choking PS3 WUs yet?

This thing will take almost 2 days to fold if no one uses the PS3 at all (fat chance of that happening).

The deadline better be longer than two days or it just might not finish in time.

I certainly hope this thing is worth more than the usual 125 points.

Edit: With all the interuptions (BluRay & GTA4) I'll have to drop it back to normal mode so I don't get all those huge high point WUs :(

The longest one I've ever gotten was 25 hours straight to complete. But damn 2 days, that is pretty insane.

You noticed this by actually viewing the client from within the PS3? or is there some kind of FAH Viewing software that allows you to monitor the PS3 client? I am unaware of FahSpy monitoring the PS3 client.

The PS3 has a spiffy looking graphical display that shows you what WU you're doing, what % it's at, estimated time to completion etc.

Yeah, I know that much I just dont care to turn on my Tv/Reciever/Etc just to see what my PS3 is crunching. Its when I dont see the points post on my EOC that I go and check :)

I have been getting the smaller ones which are the p4043s and all have been 100,000 frames. I must have crunched out 50+ of those so far. I have been getting those for a few weeks now. I wish I would get the bigger ones. :(

The prefered deadline is 20 days on this WU:

p4044_supervillin_StillGBSA_AM03 576 20.00 30.00 1250.00 100 GRO-PS3

With the deadline 10 times longer than its shorter sibling, p4043, and its value 10 times higher, I see no reason to try to avoid p4044. This WU is probably part of the effort to reduce net load on the servers.

I'm still running that WU but it's 85% completed and I should see if the overall PPD is the same as the smaller WUs by the last update today.

I got a feeling this is going to be the future trend and eventually all the WUs will get longer and longer to relieve the server loads.

I just hope our donated processing time doesn't get devalued with less PPD for the longer WUs.

As ChasR computed, those 10x larger WUs were 10x as many points so if you set your PS3 to advanced mode, you'll get the biggies. If you set to 'Normal' you'll get mostly regular 125 pointers.
