Have you just tried setting the time correctly in the BIOS?
The only time it uses the battery is if there is no power (PSU unplugged), so it shouldn't be losing time.
Dumb question
What happens if cmos battery dies

Dumb question
What happens if cmos battery diesIf the computer is plugged in, the standby voltage is on and it should retain the settings. If the computer is unplugged, it will lose the time and all settings in the BIOS (same as resetting the CMOS).
