Now I am rolling on some oldschool stuff until tomm when my 8800GTS (G92) arrive from newegg.

Anyone have some preset Overclocking setting I can try on these? I have two of them in **SLI** right now.

Since all hardware overclocks differently, we have no way of "giving" you an overclock to try. It is completely trial and error.

Curious, where'd ya sell the GX2 and how much did it bring in?

That's comforting :) My plan is to put mine on the classies here for ~$400 once GTX 280 comes out (assuming it's faster)

7600 Gt can get decent speeds, i am up @ 630 core on stock cooling, however the ram doesnt go to high

thereare also pencil volt mods for the 7600 cards.

The only reason I sold it guys was because alot of people had issues with DUAL DISPLAY and supreme commander. Even when I took the card OFF SLI and tried playing dual screens game would crash and corrupt my install.

After searching GPG forums i found out it was issue with the card. So i posted on this forums board and got some suggestions. Originally, i was going to purchase a 9800GTX and watercool it. After a couple posts I got suggestions to buy 8800 GTS (G92) and overclock it. I had $550 sitting in my paypal account So i bought that card and a watercooling setup.

The card I got was ECS (with $50 rebate) and I was able to OC it quite well on stock cooler. See my sig for the numbers. Just remember to turn up the fan to around 70 to 80%

That is if it will sell for that much once the GTX280 and GTX260 are out, they probably will cause the prices for the 9800gtx/gx2 to come down by quite a bit too since they are replacing them aren't they?

I don't see a $450 card replacing a $280 card, and I don't think we'll be seeing the 9800GTX go away for a while. Nvidia needs to keep a strong presence in the $150-$300 range, and that's where the 8800/9800GT, 8800GTS/9800GTX come in. I also doubt the performance of the GTX 260 is going to be much stronger than a GX2 if at all, except for higher resolutions. We'll have to wait and see, I guess.
