and dont buy it
it cost more
and will be hardrer to overclock to 133FSB...
As we are getting mixed results from the 1.2 Ghz chips...
You dont want get stuck @ 124 FSB and a PCI Speed of 41.3Mhz...
So...
Just my $0.02

Hmm maybe under a Asus TUSCL2 since there's no 1/4 dividers.

With the Abit ST6 you can go to 150 fsb and have your 1/4 dividers and your PCI should run fine.

i hope youre right. im counting on good overclocking with that 1.3 and the st6 at the end of Jan.

/crosses fingers.

actually there are 1/4 dividers......its just that they dont kick in till 133fsb, whereas on the ST6 they kick in at 124....

...why is a 1.3 harder to overclock than a 1.2?

when overclocking fsb is more important the CPU mhz.....a 1.0 at 1.5 would be a lot better performance wise than a 1.2 at 1.5.....

ok,
With FSB 125 MHz (PCI bus at 41.5 MHz and the AGP bus at 83 MHz) the Celi 1.2 reaches 1.5

now:
With FSB 125 MHz (PCI bus at 41.5 MHz and the AGP bus at 83 MHz) the Celi 1.3 would then reach same way 1.625

..or is it not that easy/sure/same way?..
 :p

Yes, but how many people actually hit 1.625 with their Tualatin Celerons of any sort? And you also have to realize that your memory plays a huge role in performance. That's why a PIII 1 gig at 133 FSB outperforms a PIII 1 gig at 100 FSB.

If you look in the CPU database, the average OC speed for the 1.2 Celeron is a little over 1.55, give you an FSB a bit over 129. At this speed, not only are you devices out of spec, but they are either dangerously out of spec (1/3 divider. I've had a hard drive get smacked up by a 41 MHz bus, 129 gives a 43 MHz PCI bus...) or slightly underclocked. Also, your memory would only be at that 129 MHz.

The 1.0 and 1.1 celerons are nice, though, because if you hit 1.5 on a 1.0, you're riding on 150 FSB, and your components get a fairly nice and reasonably safe boost, and your memory (very important) is running at 150 as well. That REALLY helps performance. ON a 1.1, 1.5 Ghz means 136 FSB. All your components are very close to spec then.

Hope I can get my Celeron 1.2 to 1.6...

ok, see it!

next question: is the quality itself of the 1.0, 1.1 as good as - to make 1.5 (it's 50% more!) - the quality of the actual 1.2 to make it to 1.5?

(question/thinking: are the 1.3 maybe not even better quality than 1.2; just set higher a little by intel itself?..)

- Where can i get 150 Hz-Memory, is it good quality 133 e.g. Kingston, what shall i take?..

-
Now i begin to like that 1.1..., reaches prob. easier 1.5 than the 1.0, no? and good quality 133 shoud be enough...

Thanks!

Definitely the 1.1 will reach 1.5 easier than the 1.0a as the 1.2 reaches the 1.5 easier than the 1.1...

The quality of the 1.3 is great but not too great to an overclocker as you want more FSB not speed.
A 1.0a Tualatin at 1.5 is going to have 150fsb while the 1.2 is going only 125 fsb.

The more FSB you have the more faster your system runs as memory will run faster.

PC150 is kind of necessary but PC133 will do up to 166fsb if you have good ram, eg: Crucial. Ram shouldn't be bought now as the prices of ram are just crazy... Like a stick of 256 is the price of 512 in November.

The quality is pretty noticeable over high FSB's..
