I was going to play a game, zone alarm was on and the window with the tic box popped up and froze the game..seeing the game was covering the tic box I tried to ctrl/alt/delete out of the game and well that didn't work so I then started mashing the keys (ya, like you never did that before :rolleyes: )well when I finally got back to the desk top the task managers tabs where gone..Ok this happened to me before but for the life of me I can not remember what I did to get them to show again.....
PS:
oh and by the way how do you make a desktop hot key so I don't have to go through this again???

This can occur if Task Manager is running in "Tiny Footprint" mode. When you double-click the empty space in the border around the tabs, Task Manager switches to this mode.
To switch Task Manager to it's normal display mode, double-click the top border of the window. When Task Manager is running in "Tiny Footprint" mode, you can resize the window.

you can set the show desktop as a hotkey button. I just copied the link from the quick-lauch on my taskbar to c:\ and went into the registry and searched for the keys that set my keyboard's hotkeys up and pointed one to "c:\show desktop.scf"

Why not use Window-M or Window-D to show desktop?
And Window-E to bring up explorer, etc...

Cool, I found that custom keyboard shortcut tip useful myself.. I'm gonna make keyboard shortcuts for all my commonly used apps now :burn:

While were on the keyboard subject;
My keyboard drivers won't let me change all the buttons, most are locked. Well just enter the registry and find the keyboard folder and the rest is self-explanitory, just play around until you see what keys are for what buttons.
