I'm shopping for 184 pin PC3200 DDR dual channel memory. (Yes, my board supports dual.)

I saw a pretty reasonable deal on an OCZ Platinum 2GB set.

But then I wondered...

I recall that Crucial and Corsair were both considered good quality memory when I last bought any.

BUT... I have no idea who is considered good NOW.

I think I've heard good things about OCZ, but my memory isn't what it used to be. In fact, I'm not sure it ever was; but I can't really remember.

Anyway...
Good, trustworthy brands?

OCZ DDR-1 is fine. Back during the Athlon 64 heyday, the Gold & Platinum sets were considered to be among the best... :)

Good to see people using ddr1. I'm quite young so I have no clue about that. Good luck in ocing!

One of the best 2gb sets of DDR you could own. Best I've owned anyhow. And it does 250MHz stock. I had mine to 260 and 3-4-4-8.

I had the 3200, but this stuff looks the same, with the old heatspreaders, black PCB and UTT (BH5-CH5) chips.
I ran this stuff on my old DFI @ 216MHz and 2-2-2-5 timings. That was the best RAM for gaming on XP.
