View Full Version : Helgate:London - crashing.

I've bought Hellgate:London, and within 5 minutes of game play my computer either crashes completely, or I get the handy dandy Microsoft error reporting window, ive turned down the video settings on the game but it seems like no matter whet i do it's never good enough if anyone can help me i would appreciate it.

Also a note: weather or not I'm in battle or just standing their, because im doing something else it still crashes.

my brother's computer has the same problem. just keeps crashing. what OS are you running? xp?

what drivers too while your at it?

yes i am running xp

and the drivers are NVIDIA nforce 2.45

Thats might be your problem you are using the old nforce2 drivers you need the lastest one which are the 5.10's http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_udp_winxp_5.10

MAJOR TIP: When installing the nforce drivers un-check the IDE driver I can't remember the official name but if you forget and it asks you to install the SW driver or something along those lines say NO!!! you dont need them. The microsoft XP drivers will work perfectly fine for you I had a nforce2 ultra board 2 years ago and these caused serious issues when installed them.

Also what drivers are you using for your 6800GT card as well the latest ones are 175.16 & are found here http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us have to input the card you have in the drop down menu but there the latest ones.

But it could be the hardware you are overclocking your 2500+ the OC may be the problem as well but for a more stable overclock the latest drivers are best used.

well i installed the new drivers and its still crashing any more suggestions

Have you downloaded the Single Player 1.2 patch for the game that fixes loads of bugs and enhances the game a lot right now as I type this I am downloading it on my friends PC for him.

yes i did i download it and the good news is it gives me about 40 min of game play but unfortunately i still get the windows error msg but the 1.2 patch did help a lot
