Would mixing some silicone compound (for HSF's) and super glue work as thermal adhesive? kinda like ASII epoxy?
ive never tryed, but why risk it when you can get some high quality adhesive for like 12 bucks?
Don't do it with superglue, superglue does funny things when it gets warm, while I have often used dabs of superglue to hold a heatsink to a chip (4 dabs on the corners of the chip and AS over the rest of it) and not had any problems I wouldn't do it now because of how superglue reacts when heated.
The best thing to use is epoxy resin, and you can mix that with AS to make your own version of the AS epoxy, but it's not as good and unless you alread have some epoxy it's quite expensive, you'd be better just buying AS epoxy to start with.
There was a guide on the front page for making it but I can't find it.
