I just got my new EVGA 8800GT from newegg.
I removed the drivers of my old card, shut off the computer and removed my old card.
I installed the new one and on the first screen I saw that something was wrong.
When the boot up screen comes on, there are hundreds of white squares where the letters should be.
Then it starts with colored strips and boots into windows (vista).
In windows it has little wave like horizontal strips every 1/4 inch or so.
After removing and reinstalling several times, I was once able to install the drivers and the card worked fine for about 10 minutes.
Then it froze my computer completely (that was the first time that ever happened).
Ohh well, I called newegg and they said they'll send an RMA # and I have to send the card back and then they will send me a new one.
My old card works just fine and none of that stuff happens with it.
Did this ever happen to any of you?
BTW, it's not for the systems in my sig.
