Im 15 years old and i am not allowed to have a credit card, and im not one of those rich little kids whos mommys give them thier credit cards to do what they please. So i go out and buy Motor City Online with the money that i have worked so hard for, and i spend 40 bucks on this stupid game! I get home aftre an hour or to of shopping and i install it, and then they say i need a credsit card to play the game that i just paid, IN FULL, for at Babbages. Now is it just me or is this wrong? ive been waiting 2 months for this game and EXTREMELY ****ed becuz i dont get to play it and and im out 40 bucks, Babbages doesnt like retuned goods, "Store Credit Only" Is tehre any way around this or am i stuck with 40 bucks store credit at Babbages?

Sorry bout' that dude, that just plain sucks  . If it was NOT marked on the box that you have to pay more money to play the game, then you have a legitamite gripe, and I would try and get the folks (mom & dad) involved if I were you, try and pursue getting your money back. I wish I had a good answer for you, but I dont. Maybe someone else will have a good idea.
Keep us posted on the situation and good luck.

Get this, There actually was something on the box, it was so little i needed a magnifying glass to see it, it is NOT clearly marked and should be! Hell yeah im gettin my money back, ill make a big deal, i did at Electronics boutique when they gave me a broken video card which was a geforce 3 and i was not happy becuz nobody else had any in stock all they had was a 3D prophet II MX which is what im stuck with now, it was like when the geforce 3 line first came out too Not Cool
Maybe you could try getting a Vesa buxz card. Its like a check card that can be used any where vesa is accepted.

man if that happened to me, I'd image the game get the store credit and get something else just to spite them!!
I think they give u a month free or something..
see if u can use your parent's for the free month, and if they don't let u keep it, cancel, or see if u can pay them the CC fee once a month or take it outta your allowance or something
That's exactly why I refuse to buy that game. I wan't a new racing game so bad! But I will not pay for a game then turn around and have to pay a monthly fee to play it. That's Just wrong. Atleast give a person a single play game so there not forced to pay the monthly fee.
I can't believe they even did that. That's also why I never bought EverQuest as well. Even though that's not really my type of game anyway. But even if it was I would never buy it.
I own MCO, and there is an aknowledgement saying you need to PAY TO PLAY..its a pretty sweet game, Im the captain of the club Team Nitro Assasins on the City Center Atlantic server.. but i agree that 10 bucks a month is kinda steep ...you said you paid 40 for the game?...its 29.99 at compUSA..the only reason I bought it was I did Beta testing and enjoyed the game a ton...I love racing games, I have MCO,NHRA2,NHRA Main Event,Nascar4 and a few others that i dont play all that much..if your into Drag racing at all...check out www.nitrosim.com its one of the best websites for online dragracing..

You waited 2 months for this game and didn't know that EA was gonna charge you play it online? hahahaha, they have said that since the beginning so if you had paid attention you would have known this before even going to the store, infact their are alot of games out there that you have to pay to play so this is no new concept at all and the game info has been released to the public for over a year so i would suggest as a good bit of constructive criticism that you do your homework next time before you run out and blow 40 bucks on something that you don't know what you are buying. just a suggestion from an older gamer.

I wish i could play games all day, but unfortunately i have a life too. I have a career as an engineer and programmer where i work 10 hrs a day, have a house, a wife, a dog, and a family and I'm still able to read information on something before i buy it. It's just a suggestion for life, it's not meant for games specifically, just on anything you are spending your hard earned cash on. It's good advice especially given the current economic situation here in the US. anyway what really boggles my mind is the description of your computer and what it would cost shouldn't make 40 bucks all that much money to you if you can afford that computer especially if you are 15 and dont have real bills yet, when you do get real bills and 40 bucks is harder to come by you will learn to research something before you buy it.
