ICH9R vs ICH10R ??

Other than the DDR2 1200 standard and 16 Gig of RAM, how does the matrix raid stack up to the 9R? Wondering if RAID 0 performance is any better...

I don't think RAID-0 controllers have been the bottleneck for some time IIRC... HD Controller performance is mainly an issue with parity calculations in RAID-5/6, but not with RAID-0...

I don't think you'd see ANY difference in RAID-0 using MoBo Software RAID or with a dedicated $1000 PCIe 8x Hardware Raid Card... Now, RAID 5 or RAID 6 would GREATLY benefit from such a card...

ICH10x should also be fixed on the internal limiting of SSD's. if you saw dom's review with his SSD's in raid the ICH9x would limit bandwidth for xfer rates. ICH10x has more usb port support as far as connections on the boards go.
