I think you'd be better off saving up twice that and just getting a 9600GT/8800GT. You'd see a big bigger boost in performance.

The 512MB would be much better unless you play on low resolutions then I think the 256MB would be fine. That ECS is is a pretty decent price since it uses an aftermarket heatsink as well. If you don't mind waiting around for a deal you can check www.slickdeals.net and wait for people to post some stuff on the 8800GT 512MB. There have always been some good prices at least once a week.

No prob. Just don't check it too much or you'll go broke rather quickly. ;)

ok lol one last question, should i go with the antec earth watts 380 for $35 + 8800gt.
OR same psu+ this guys $65 7950gtoc.
cause i cant find any benchmarks for the 256mb version. which makes me worried :(
im leaning towards the 8800gt now.

the first one, the other ones a laptop lol.
i went to eXtreme power calculator and its wattage was 300 in my sig, when i added a 8800gt it made it 351w.
but im not sure how accurate that is?
what would you recommend?
