View Full Version : Radeon 7200 Tweaking
I just got a radeon 7200 for xmas. I got it overclocked to 175.5/175.5 any higher and I get artifacts. My score in 3dm2k1 is 2785. Does anyone have any hints or tweaks or something that I could use to get this higher?

there is something wrong here
you should get ATLEAST 3000
try installing all the latest drivers?
Yeah, I got the leaked 6011's...
I've tried tweaking, etc.... and the highest I can get is only around 2700....

Maybe this may help:

MY Radeon SDR/ Radeon 7200 never scored above 3000, scored close yes but never made it there, plus my max overclock was 170, any higher I got artifacts, Then again, I think its the AThlon 550 at 611 thats holding it back...was told u need at least a 700mhz proc to get full potential of the card...I
I will find out when I get my new 1ghz+ Tbird...
According to Madonion.com My card is alrdy scoreing higher than it should be....By 5%, Hmm...Im going to have to fully tweak the card out when I get my Tbird, including Ramsinks...Well looks like I got me a project...BTW This card scores higher in 3dmark 2001 in Win2k, But scores lower In 98 or Me, However, the score for 3dmark2000 is higher in Win98-Me than in 2000....go figur.

I tried the stuff at that link you posted, unfortunately most of the sites are down. Does anyone else have any hints?

Ok Try these:
http://radeontweaker.sourceforge.net/links.html
Your Asus TUSL2-C has a 815 chip and this is a good program:
http://support.intel.com/support/chipsets/iaa/
This is decent to find all new drivers for your hardware:

I'd say thats a good score for a celeron
but if you celeron is running was running at a bus of 66 before overclocking... what bus do u have right now? then that would probably explain it. I have the same card and get 3500 tops, I can't get it to run above a 125mhz bus though :-(
Also when I first installed the omega drivers i got 3500 but now they won't quite get that high 3300 tops for me right now
a little bit of it might be that my drive is in ntfs format I don't think it would effect my score that much but anyways... Also, remember 98 and me are poor for handling ram large amounts of ram (from what i've heard) so u might wana try 256 or 384 that might help..
I'm currently running my celeron 800@1066, 133mhz bus. I'm using Win XP, so I don't think that ram is a big problem, however, I just removed a faulty stick of 256mb, so maybe that could explain my low scores?

I just built a system for my girlfriend last month, and it's got a 7200. I've OC'd it a little, but haven't messed with OC'ing the video card or running 3dmark yet. I'll try to do that tomorrow and post the scores.
Her system is:
Athlon T-bird 1.0 @ 1207
128 PC2100 Crucial
DirectX8.1 (Win 98 Se)
newest ati driver for 7200
Now Im wondering why my score is low....Oh well another project.
I just downloaded a tusl2-c tweaked bios from x86secret.com, and with an increase in my cpu speed I was able to obtain a score of 2891. My cpu is now at 1.16ghz, and I used some of the stuff off that radeontweaker site. Here's my compare url: http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare2k1.shtml?2427005
