cntrl/alt/del to open task manager, go to the processes tab, and click on Mem Usage Tab twice...this should show you the processes using the most mem at that time...see what you really got running...

If you only have 160mb of ram as your signature listed your swap file is way too big.

It should only the amount of twice your ram..

Correct...I would suggest 256Mb...but you still need to find out what programs are using your memory now...you may have some processes running that shouldn't be, or even worse, some that you didn't know you had...

I will get some more RAM 256 Probably and then change the swapfile? How do i work out what is best for my setup?

OK...

Change it now though.

Go to the properties of My Computer, then advanced, performance, then press change on the virtual memory.

Enter your values to the twice of your ram and set your SWAP file on the fastest hard drive.

Since you have 160 megs go 320 minimal and maximum and press set and then reboot.

I meant your swap file should be 256...:p or 320 like Yodems suggested...I usually disable mine altogther. There are only 3 or 4 programs I use on a daily basis, and waiting 2 or 3 seconds longer for them to open because I disabled my swap file is something I am more than willing to live with...
