console client 504 gave me this error from FAHLOG

+ Attempting to send results
Couldn't send HTTP request to server (wininet)
+ Could not connect to Work Server (results)
(130.49.240.77:8080)
Could not transmit unit 09 to Collection server; keeping in queue.
+ Closed connections

its done this about three times from the old fahlog i read, so ive got work units sitting in the queue waiting to be returned.

lets get them out of here.

Stop it & restart the client.

It does an auto send before requesting more work. (sends queued WU's)

otherwise it sometimes just sits there doing nothing.

nope, its still downloading work units, its on a 2 hour simT Gromac right now.

Create a shortcut (desktop)

Edit the properties to read (without the quotes)

"C:\fah\504\FAH504-Console.exe -send all"

just add the -send all at the end.

Mine is loaded in a different location than yours.

The server may also be down too.

Only use this short cut WITHOUT THE CLIENT RUNNING.

Run -config and change use IE settings to NO.

Did you install IE7 perhaps? Regardless, the best move is to turn the setting off as ChasR described. ;)

I don't know why it works for a while and then quits, but when you see "Couldn't send HTTP request to server (wininet)" that is the problem. I had it set to use IE settings for a week or two and then it just stopped. Making that one change fixed it and no problems since.
