Does anyone know how to clean a sk-6? On the AS site they say "Use xylene based products (Goof Off, some carburetor cleaners and many brake cleaners.) or mineral spirits" But is this safe with this hs? :eh?:

howdy!

I ended up lapping my sk6 (i would recommend it for all sk6's). After lapping, i cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol (said to do final cleaning w/that) i was pretty damn sure i didn't have any of that other stuff, so i just used isopropyl (rubbing alcohol) hope this helps...and for info on lapping, search forums on lapping (this post will prolly come up first ;))

good luck!

Nothing special just clean it with rubbing alcohol like phenolite said.

Clean the core too if your reapplying.

any alochol should do, methanol will be the quickest to use as it evaporates quicker.
