Tbird maxed at 1.5?

right now i have my 1.33Tbird at 1.43(143*10)at default voltage.
if i raise the multiplier to 10.5 to get the processor to 1.5 it is unstable, even at the max voltage of 1.90. is that just to high for her? the temps dont go over 48c at 1.5.
any help please? i see people running their tbirds 166mhz over constantly, and often alot more

cmon, anyone? this is really driving me nuts that it just cant do 1.5. that is the speed i was set on before i even built this rig.
i dont believe that she just cant do it. ive got to be missing something. i know my generic micron ram wont let me push the fsb past 143. so i want her to go at 143*10.5 till i get new ram.

What is the CPUs stepping? is it a letter or a number for the 1st char of 3rd line?

i have a t-bird 1.33, and have hit the wall about the same as you...In my case, I am assuming it is the psu. In your case, I would say it could be the stepping or the cooling.

I see you say your temps don't go above 48, but what HSF are you using, and what about case temps...

Post about these things, and we can compare notes.

and what type of error are you having blue screen, freeze, boot up or what? Also XP is pretty good about giveing system error information what does it say?

sorry, i dont know the exact stepping. i didnt check before i installed it. the casew temp goes from 27-32, depending on the temp in my house. im gonna crank her up now to see what error i get. my hsf is in my sig.

i get a BSOD sayin that the system has encountered a serious stop error and needs to close. before i get the bsod, if i try to run prime 95, windows says that the program has run into an error and needs to close. im thinking tjis tbird just might not o/c well. its ROCK STABLE now at 1.43(143*10) i run folding for days without rebooting. i wish i knew the stepping....
hsf is millenium glaciator 2, i thought it was in my sig

The 1.33 did not have great overclocking ability. Both that I have, have topped out at 1.507. The 1.2 Axia's and the 1.4 Ahyjar had better overclocking abilities.
