okay guys, i've read a lot, and before i had read a lot i thought the super orb was fairly good.. my 1800+ is running at 56 oC

which i have to admit, if bloody hot, so im hoping you guys can sort me out with a solution that doesn't require me to spend 100's of notes, and something thats not fit to be in the pentagon! :) bear in mind, the super orb i have is running at 7200 rpm, it's already hard enough to sleep with it running.. hehe

Hi,
ummm, look under the cooling section.

What do you have in your system?
Swiftech makes some nice stuff that really kicks butt.

The Glaciator II has been keeping my Tb 1@1.5 w/1.87v at no more than 47c after hours of Prime95 torture test. While running F@H temp is a steady 42c. This is a suitable cooling solution and extremely quiet :)

SuperOrb does a horrible job on cooling AMD CPU's. They are barely adequate for cooling Intel chips at stock speeds. If you want to cool that 1800+ then you should look into the Glaciator, ThermalRight SK6, Globalwin CAK38, or if you can afford the high price tag - the Swiftech MC462-A. I personally use the Swiftech's exclusively on my new PC's now, but the others are also outstanding.
