DFI P35 Showdown!

Out of THESE two boards, which would be better for gaming at 1680x1050? I am looking to overclock (E8400), too.

? That really all depends on what video card you have. Both motherboard have PCIE 16x

If it's one of these boards, and they're good for overclocking, an 8800GT.
Otherwise, I'm getting a SLI, CF mobo.

Well an 8800GT will handle 1680*1050 very nicely.

Will it let me get my E8400 to ~4Ghz?

8800GT can handle 1650x1080, but i recommend getting something better. For under $200 you get a 4850.
